Puppy and his Bone

by Savanah
(U.S.A.-Michigan)

This art piece is for my teacher. She showed me how to draw a puppy (not like this one), and inspired me to draw, and I love it! This puppy was a drawing I made after discovering "art-made-easy" and the monthy art contest. I decided to draw a puppy because it was one drawing I could do very well. I was at my sister's bowling game when I drew this picture. My mom and grandma (nana) decided that I enter this puppy instead of my butterfly, peace signs, and more. In my picture, the "crazed puppy" is thinking of a bone that he just got for himself, but was told not to eat it.

This piece was made for this contest and I hope you enjoyed it.

Birds

by Payton
(Reno, Nevada)

Payton is 5 years old and in Kindergarten. She has been very interested in art since the age of 3. As her mom, I am always very amazed at her art work, of course. This specific piece caught my eye because of the detail. When she had first shown it to me, I asked if she'd copied it from a book or an image she had seen and she told me "no Mom, it was in my head".

This picture includes birds flying around branches.

Walk in the Jungle

by Ines
(Dedham, MA, USA)

My name is Ines and I am 13 years old.

I drew this using colored pencils on regular printer paper. It is about 8 inches wide and 7 inches long.

The jungle background was hard to draw. I don't know what a jungle is supposed to look like, so I tried drawing a bunch of leaves, and that seemed to work. The tiger was also very hard, but I'm extremely pleased with the turnout of it. It helped me with drawing animals a lot, because I usually just doodle humans, and never really animals. It was my first time drawing a tiger.
