Hi, I'm McKenna and I am 12 years old. The Chameleon was drawn with chalk and glue on a piece of 9" X 14" black paper. The most challenging part of this piece of artwork was either drawing the chameleon or blending the colors. I am most pleased with the colors of the chameleon's body. While creating this artwork, I learned that chalk is a difficult media to use because it blends and smears too easily. I hope you like my artwork, the Chameleon!

Media: Pencil crayons
Surface: Printer paper
Size: 11 inches by 17 inches
Challenges: To be able to express my thoughts efficiently and clearly on the message.
Pleased: I am most pleased with how I was able to draw my thoughts on paper and show that taking drugs can make you risk losing everything.
Learnings: I learned about the consequences of taking drugs, and how it not only affects the user, but the people around them as well; especially those who love that person.

Media: Pencil crayons
Surface: Printer paper
Size: 11 inches by 17 inches
Challenges: Trying to get my message across, that sharing happiness brings joy to all.
Pleased: I am most pleased with how well the colours were able to blend together, and how everything came out well.
Learnings: I learned that anybody can give anyone happiness and it just might make their day, like a compliment, or a word of encouragement, or even something as small as a smile.

Hi! I'm Madeleine, and I'm in fourth grade. I've loved dogs all my life, and I love to draw them, too!
This art was created to try using the impasto style that Van Gogh created in his landscape paintings. After an initial wash with a paint brush, the rest of the detailed colors were done using a stick.< paint brush was not used>

Hello! My name is Balpreet. I am 9 years old. This is Chomp the T-rex. He is a dinosaur. To create chomp i used watercolor paint. I painted him on watercolor paper. The artwork is 8x11. The thing i found challenging was i only had one paintbrush (small size) and i need a big one to paint his body more quickly but unfortunatly i didnt have it. I am pleased with the colors because they kind of blend in together. I learned that i can write words with paint.

My daughter, Chloe Marie, loves to draw and has had her art work entered in the local college art displays every year since kindergarten. I want to keep her love of art alive and feel that entering her in outside (of school) competitions will do just that. She just received a new easel today and this is what she created in a matter of minutes....

This is a portrait of my Papa. He went to Heaven on 3-16-2011. I created this portrait so that he can see how much I loved him. I am presenting this portrait to my Nanny at his funeral service . I sketched this with pencil and colored with colored pencils on drawing paper. My Papa was a great artist who was starting to teach me to draw before he passed away. I am told I get my talent from him.
