Caretoons Contest (International)

Sponsored by the Natoinal Liberty Museum and US Airways

The funny thing about cartoons: they can make us think and even laugh at ourselves, despite our differences. Which is the whole point of The National Liberty Museum’s (NLM) annual, international Caretoons Contest. It’s the opportunity to be positive through the power of cartoons.

This year's Caretoons theme is Building Bridges, and the NLM is accepting one-panel submissions in the following categories:

•  Adult International

•  Adult National

•  Student International

•  Student National

Winners will receive $500, a yearlong display in Philadelphia's National Liberty Museum Caretoon’s exhibit, and maybe the opportunity to change people's perceptions. More than 100,000 museum visitors will see the winning Caretoons.

The theme of Building Bridges celebrates the things that might divide us—religion, language, age, or nationality by giving them a positive spin.  Creativity and thoughtfulness will be important criteria for the panel of judges.

The deadline for entries is November 1, 2013. The submission form and contest rules are online are available here.
