Courage Cards Art Contest

Courage Cards offers a wonderful holiday art contest that I would encourage you to enter. Art contests are a lot of fun, and they provide you with a goal to work toward within designated guidelines. One thing to remember about art, however, is that it is subjective; what appeals to one person may not appeal to another. So if you enter a contest and don’t win, don’t give up – just have fun creating!

This is a contest I came across a couple of years ago. I entered it once and didn’t win, and unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to enter this past year. I plan to do so this next year, however.

Courage Cards & Gifts calls for entries every year for their annual art search to find new artwork for their Holiday Card Collection. Proceeds from their sales helps support the Courage Center, a non-profit rehabilitation and resource center for people with disabilities.

All artists are welcomed to enter the contest, especially artists with disabilities. Categories include winter scenes, wildlife, traditional Christmas, Thanksgiving, and more.

There is an entry fee (last year it was $15.00), and you are allowed to submit eight entries. A license fee of $400.00 is paid to the artist for each piece chosen.
