Dot to Dot Pictures for Little Ones

Both preschoolers and early elementary students love these dot to dot pictures! Going beyond coloring, children must first connect the dots to draw the picture.

I first started creating these pictures when my third child was about three years old. My older two children had their own projects to work on, and my little daughter wanted something to work on too. She wasn’t yet recognizing her numbers, but she could connect the dots, and she loved it! She would try to guess what the picture was before she began, then follow the dots to see if she was right. I made the dots close enough together that she could see how the lines would go. How thrilled she was to create her own drawing!

Well, when my second child saw her sister drawing these pictures, she had to try too. They are both a little older now, and now they like creating their own dot pictures.

You are welcome to use the dot pictures below for personal or classroom use. You may also want to use them as examples to create new pictures for your own little ones.
