Do you know a child who wants to learn to draw or paint? Perhaps your child loves art, and you want to encourage that interest, but you just don’t know where to begin. Or maybe you want to start drawing. Life's kept you busy with other things, but now you're ready to tap into your own creativity. Then this site is for you.

How old (or young) should a child be before starting art? As a mom and an art teacher, I’ve found that any age is a great age to begin creating. My son was drawing little circles when he was just a year old, and Grandma Moses didn't begin her painting career until she was in her seventies!

Of course, the complexity of the artwork will vary according to the age of the artist, but a face composed of a circle and two big eyes by a toddler can be as much of an accomplishment as a fine oil portrait by an adult.

But I’m not artistically inclined, you say. Drawing may not come naturally, but it’s a skill that can be learned. Remember, as with anything new that you learn to do, you improve with practice. At Art Made Easy, I’ll take you step by step through what you need to know to create your own works of art.

I’ll also tell you what you need to buy to get started, from the very young to older students, and provide you with price estimates so you’ll know what to expect before you go to the store. You’ll find free lessons to try with them, and along the way, I’ll explain the various art terms to you.
