Work At Home

You Can Build a Website, Too!

I knew there had to be a way for me to work at home. Then I found it -- with a lot of help from SiteSell!

My brother said it best when he asked, “Who built your site?”

“I built it,” I answered. What a surprise – to him and to me! Why, it had only been a couple of months before that I had figured out how to join a yahoo group. Moderator? What was that again? And I still didn’t know how to access the instant messaging.

Until I came across SiteSell, my experience with the internet consisted of searching with Google, buying and selling on eBay, ordering from Amazon, and checking my email. That’s about as computer savvy as I got.

So where did Art Made Easy come from? I have to admit, I did have some help. SiteSell has taken me step by step in creating a site that the search engines will find. I don’t even have to learn HTML -- they provide all the tools I need (and then some!). The only thing that limits how far I can go with my site is --- well, me!

Why did I want to build a site anyway? Didn’t I have enough to do already? After all, I’m homeschooling my children, teaching art lessons, writing, illustrating… not to mention trying to keep up with the home, errands, extracurricular activities, etc. All this is precisely why I built it.

As a one-income family of six, we try to stretch every dollar as far as it will go. To help out, I wanted to do some work at home with flexible hours, preferably a job I could do at night after the kids were in bed. As I scoured the internet for possibilities, I began trying them all: taking surveys, viewing emails, answering ads and applying for online positions (I even applied for a position at a company that received over 1000 other applications. I didn’t get the job.). While these may work for some, I still struggled, until I read about SiteSell.

And then, a while later, I read about it again. And then again. And again. And I was convinced. Others found successful work at home by using SiteSell, even moms like me. So then, why not me too?

I would build a site about something I really enjoy – creating art and teaching art – and at the same time earn an income. It seemed possible, and I had to try.

I’m still convinced. It’s not a get-rich quick scheme – in fact, I’ve spent a lot of hours working at building this site, and I’m still working on it when I have time. SiteSell’s mascot is a turtle – at a slow but steady pace you can accomplish your goals. Your business can be what you want it to be.

Art Made Easy is now in it's fourth year, and it averages between 14,000 and 15,000 visitors a month. Not bad for a site constructed by someone who didn't have a clue how to start!

But I’m not the only one. The success stories with Sitesell go on and on.

With SiteSell, I'm able to share with others around the world the same tips and techniques that I teach my local art students while earning an income. Now that's a great deal!
